My time at the football & education programme was a great experience, meeting new teammates and coaches that helped me develop as a player and as a person. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there: training every day, having good fun in class and travelling around to play good quality football. It really helped my future of wanting to go out to the US to play college football as the coaching staff helped with me with creating videos, sending them out to good quality colleges and making my final decision. The coaches really helped me get where I am today and the football & education programme developed me into being the best player I can be.

The football & education programme, for me, was the best programme I could’ve chosen after finishing in year 11. It made me better myself as a person alongside playing at a good standard of football. My favourite time in the scholarship was in my second year when we went on the amazing cup run, beating teams who were in a higher league than us and then just falling short in the semi finals to a very good Chippenham side,.From the comebacks to dominant wins, it was by far the best cup run I’ve experienced at a standard that good. It helped me better myself as a person as it allowed me to do what i love along side working towards A Levels. It helped me with my future as I have experienced playing at a standard where I could take it to the men’s game and prove myself that I can be the best I can be not only as a football player but as a person within the work that I do now.

As a previous scholar I have seen many benefits to being on the programme that have helped me go on further in football and life. I managed to do my sports course and balance my football which helped me both educationally and professionally. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to play football but also has the idea of perusing a role in sports or any other given area of expertise. The scholarship allowed me to work and produce the opportunity to go to university and study as well as many opportunities in football playing for the National youth team and representing the league against professional teams such as Chelsea under 21s and oxfords academy. I really enjoyed the scholarship and it’s been a great program that has supported me through the 2 years of sixth form.

I had an amazing few years at the Posh Football & Education Programme. In terms of football, it was hard work, but massively rewarding. I was given the opportunity to work my way up the teams and reach the highest level I could, both within the programme and non-league football. The coaches gave their all every day. This could be in daily training, matches all over the country, and even during 1-2-1 player specific sessions. They even ensured we progressed academically, which is just as important as it gave us the discipline to achieve well in both football and work careers. I would recommended the football & education programme to anyone.
