ABOUR OUR DEVELOPMENT PLAYER PROGRAMME

The Development Player Programme (DPP) provides players the opportunity to be coached, whilst still being able to play for their grassroots team. Players will receive one hour of technical coaching per week as well as the opportunity to progress into the club’s shadow squads. The development centre runs across three blocks, covering a variety of topics over the course of 35 weeks. The primary focus of the PDC at Peterborough United Foundation is to play a key role in identifying gifted and talented players, as well as supplementing their grassroots football. We run Development Centres from U6’s – U16’s and we also have a specific Goalkeeper Development Centre; Our Development Centres are currently held at the first team training ground.

CASE STUDIES

Michael, U14, progressed into the shadow squad

Michael has improved his football skills and knowledge training at the development centre. Definitely value for money. Always coming home with a smile which to me means he is enjoying it and when I see him playing his league games I can see the improvement. I just hope he will fit in well with the shadow squad and excel even more. A big Thank you to you and all the coaches for helping Michael better himself physically and mentally
