The over 69’s Walking Football Team who represent Peterborough United Foundation were in cup action in May.
Posh travelled to Ely for their 2nd Round game on 27th May.
A very hot and sunny day saw the visitors take control from the off, racing into a 3 goal lead after 10 minutes.
Ely found it hard to get out of the Peterborough press but kept going and, after going 4-0 down, managed to pull one back from the penalty spot just before half time. HT 1-4.
The second half saw Posh keep the ball and slow the game down in the heat, though they still managed to increase the score, running out 7-2 winners.
This puts Posh into the quarter final of the Regional section (there are 4 Regions and the 2 finalists from each Region go through to Finals Day in Nottingham in September).
