Job Purpose
To collaborate with the girls coaching staff in running the Girls FEP NFYL & CEFA teams while overseeing the delivery of our elite/development centre programmes within the women’s and girl’s pathway. To help with implementing the Community strategy for Peterborough United Foundation to ensure that all aspects of the key themes are delivered to a high standard.
Job Overview
- The job holder will be responsible for, delivering training session and managing/supporting weekly fixtures.
- The job holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing the girls Elite/Development programmes.
- In addition to good management, organisational and administrational skills the job holder will be required to work closely and successfully with our senior management team.

- Be able to deliver from a syllabus throughout the year.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
- To support the Football Club in the development of the Community strategy.
- To be part of a team of football Coaches responsible for leading high-quality sessions to 16-18-year-olds daily.
- To be part of a team of coaches responsible for leading sports, multi-sport, play, physical activity, health and school sports activities to young people aged between 5 to 18 years across Peterborough.
- To maintain records of attendance at sessions and conduct evaluation of the provision on an ongoing basis.
- To provide written records / plans of activities provided.
- To assist in making sure all health and safety procedures are followed and completed including risk assessments, check sheets and records.
- Take part in all available CPD opportunities to gain further knowledge and increase the high
standards of delivery.
- Other duties from time to time may be reasonably directed by the line manager or their representative.
Major Objectives
- To continue to gain knowledge regarding the running of the FEP and EPP/DPP to support this area of the women’s and girls’ pathway as efficiently as possible.
- To develop a network of key partners to support the programme with similar strategies to develop specific projects.
- To develop internal relations with all departments at the football club to support the whole club philosophy.
Specific Responsibilities
- To organise and deliver a range of different, sporting, activities suitable for children and young
adults. In both informal community settings and within schools.
- To support the on-going promotion of the sessions they are responsible for, to assist in them
becoming sustainable programmes.
- Manage and coordinate the Elite/Development Player Programme logistics.
- Design, deliver and review coaching sessions, matches and half-term fixtures for the Girls Elite/Development Programme.
- Contribute to Team/staff meetings.
- Lead the running of the girl’s Elite/Development centre, supporting both player and staff development.
- Link and cover with other departments within the Foundation when/where necessary.
- Organise fixtures and communicate with other teams within the NFYL & CEFA League, making sure all relevant admin has been complete, and all relevant details are passed on.
- Deliver and support Girls FEP sessions daily. Plan/Deliver/Review
- Lead delivery of after school clubs as directed by the relevant manager.
- Understand and Implement the Communities administrative procedures and safeguarding policies.

- Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and recorded as required while ensuring all activities are safe, enjoyable and inclusive.
- Attend any relevant training requirements for example, first aid, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.

Professional Conduct & Procedures – Communication
- No contact should be made to any member of staff, parent or player after 18:00. The only time this is appropriate is if it is to support an emergency, urgent update or Safeguarding concern.
- Private messages should never be initiated or encouraged with players.
- Individual messages to/from players should only ever be used to notify a change in attendance/punctuality. Any conversations regarding individual performance, concerns or other player specific details must be had in person with the FEP Manager Present.
- Any player disciplinaries sanctioned by the Foundation or the school will be handled by the FEP Manager.
- Communication with players, parents or school regarding player disciplinaries will be handled by the FEP Manager.
- When any IDPs, 1-2-1 meetings or conversations are taking place, the FEP Manager must be present. If the FEP Manager is not available than another staff member must be present. Under no circumstances is it ever appropriate to do this alone or be in a room by yourself.
- No plans to contact a player or arrange to meet a player outside of working hours should ever be made
- Any external footage is to be sent to, approved and reviewed by the FEP Manager first before being shared with any other members of staff.
