Following the news that the Peterborough United Academy have signed one Foundation Elite Player Programme and offered trial to another, we’re proud to share that more of our players have been signed or offered trials.

Our JPL U12’s team have been enjoying their first season together, and even as the season approaches its end and the fixtures are winding down, two players have received some exciting news this week.
In recent days, we’ve been informed that the Peterborough United Academy have signed a member of our U12 JPL team, whilst another member of the U12’s has been offered a trial at the Norwich City Academy.
Defender, Sam, has been offered a four-week trial with Norwich City following a fantastic JPL season, full of consistent stand out performances. Sam has impressed with his abilities to attack and defend one-on-one, whilst also showing composure in possession to help the team build up from the back.
The good news continued as it was confirmed, after a trial period with Peterborough United Academy, Zach of our U12’s JPL has been signed! Zach is a combative midfielder with an eye for a spectacular goal, and a fantastic range of passing.
Brad Rayner, Lead Coach of the U12’s JPL team, said: “It is fantastic for us to see two of our players being recognised with an academy trial and an academy signing. Both Sam and Zach have been consistently strong performers for us in games and training so deserve the opportunities they’ve been given.”
“The JPL programme we run continues to be a great pathway and stepping stone, these two players are the most recent in a long line of players we’ve been able to progress into academy trials and signings, with training two times a week at all age groups and the quality of the games programme the JPL provides it helps to bridge the gap between grassroots and academy football.”
“Both myself and Jonny are incredibly proud of Zach and Sam and can’t wait to see how things develop for both of them from here!”
Peterborough United Foundation are holding trials for next seasons JPL teams in the coming weeks. Next season, we’ll have U13, U15 and U16 teams – please click HERE to sign up!
Congratulations Zach, and good luck Sam!
