Peterborough United Foundation’s Elite Player Programme have had plenty of reason to celebrate recently, with multiple players earning trials with the Peterborough United Academy and one player being signed.

Maxey started with Peterborough United Foundation’s Development Player Programme in 2022 and quickly progressed into the EPP. His consistent, impressive performances saw him earn an academy trial. After a successful trial, the coaches within the Academy confirmed that Maxey has now been signed.

EPP Co-Ordinator, Brad Rayner, said: “We are incredibly proud of Maxey following his signing to the academy, having had him as part of our pathway since 2022 it has been amazing to see his progression and growth as a player.”

This is a fantastic example of how our pathway can work, with Maxey coming into the DPP before progressing to EPP and now further into the academy. He is a fantastic example of what players can achieve with hard work and dedication, coupled with the opportunities our programmes can provide talented players.”

“I would also like to thank Paolo and Adam from the academy for working with us so closely, the relationship we have with the academy is excellent as is a big part in achieving these successes.” Brad concluded.

Meanwhile, we also congratulate to Mace from our EPP U8/9’s, who is beginning an eight-week trial with Peterborough United Academy! Mace has been an outstanding performer in our EPP all season and we are delighted to see him get this opportunity.

Congratulations Maxey and good luck, Mace!
