Posh A had a week off this week, but Posh B and the Posh Girls sides were both in league action.
B TEAM
Posh B faced a trip to fellow highflyers, Chelsea, in the CEFA Division 3 South East. Both sides went into the game unbeaten and have proved themselves to be early contenders for the league title.
But the game didn’t go to plan for the Posh, as they found themselves 2-0 down at the interval against a free scoring Chelsea side.
The hosts made it three in the second half, before Tinashe Mutizwa scored his second goal in as many games to give the Posh hopes of a comeback.
They continued to push for more goals as the game headed towards its conclusion, but Chelsea held on to continue their unbeaten start and put Posh B’s to an end.
The result leaves Posh B third in the table after four games, with a home clash against Ipswich Town on the agenda next week.

POSH GIRLS
The Posh Girls Scholarship Team welcomed Bristol Rovers to the idverde Training Ground on Wednesday afternoon as they looked to continue an unbeaten start of their own.
And the Posh got off to a blistering start, as Nicole Hendrick put Tallulah Freeman in on goal, and she slotted it into the bottom corner.
The lead was doubled by Renai Bennett, who scored direct from a corner. And it was 3-0 after just four and a half minutes when Sasha Tristram picked up a goal after good work by Freeman.
Bennett fired home her second and Posh’s fourth from the edge of the box, before Chelsea Burr advanced forward from left back to smash home a fifth after ten minutes.
Tristram became the next player to get her second of the day, after winning a challenge with the keeper before sending the ball into the empty net.
Elloise Copson added Posh’s seventh after making a great run from the heart of midfield into the box, and when she was picked out by Burr, she slotted the chance into the bottom corner.
Olivia Jacobs notched Posh’s 8th, before Tristram secured her hat-trick from the penalty spot. Copson added her second just before half time by going round the keeper and tapping home to make it 10-0 to the Posh at the interval.
And the second half started in the same fashion as the first, as Jacobs picked up her second from a tight angle.
Then, the next two goals belonged to Niamh Connor. For her first, she took a touch down and hit a shot into the top corner, before looping a header from a corner into the back of the net off the underside of the bar.
Hendrick made it 14-0 with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, before Bennett finished calmly when sent in one on one with the keeper.
Bennett added Posh’s final two goals to take her tally for the day to five.
The Posh Girls are back in action in a couple of weeks, when they face a trip to Burton Albion in the CEFA Cup.
